Google delists Doki Doki Literature Club from app store due to a sudden violation

Doki Doki Literature Club was previously launched on mobile with great success. It already broke through a million downloads while reaching the top charts within the App Stores after its release on December 11, 2025. It’s very well known for its immersive narrative that delves into more serious, mature themes, though it wasn’t well acknowledged by Google until recently.

The Google Play Store took down DDLC after declaring its Terms of Service violation for excluding any mentions of sensitive themes. It isn’t possible to download the game for new Android users, though anyone who already downloaded the game before its sudden removal can still access it.

This issue is making Serenity Forge research new ways to recover the game on the Google Play Store, along with additional alternatives to bring DDLC to new Android users. The developers will keep the mobile community up to date about the condition of DDLC and its extra content.
