Grand Theft Auto VI has been “content ready” for a “very long time”

For as disappointing as it was, Grand Theft Auto VI was delayed once again, this time pushed to November 19, 2026. That said, it sounds like the game is “content ready” and this is just its perfectionism taking over.

Insider Tom Henderson said as much on the Insider Gaming Podcast that the game is content ready, with all the remaining time being used to hammer out even the smallest of imperfections, like fazing through doors. It would make sense, considering all the hype and generally speaking, there will be people who will spot even the smallest of glitches and point and laugh at it simply for the “this game has been in development for this long” joke.

This perfectionism wouldn’t come as a huge shock, as Rockstar is a studio that has only really given quality experiences, with this instance especially important with all the hype surrounding GTA VI.

Grand Theft Auto VI releases to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.
