Grounded launches on the Switch in April

Obsidian Entertainment’s four-player co-op adventure Grounded is unshackling itself from Xbox exclusivity in April. The reveal follows Xbox boss Phil Spencer revealing that it’s releasing four of its first-party games to competing platforms.

As part of the recent Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, Bethesda’s co-op romp was among the featured projects poised for a mid-April release. The game was revealed to be coming to the Switch complete with a bit of footage of the Honey I Shrunk The Kids-like game.

We assume it’s going to release to the Switch with all the fixings that released since the first launched back in mid-2020. One bit of confirmation we do have is that it will support cross-platform multiplayer..

We can’t say we’re that surprised, considering what was previously shared — two community-driven games and two smaller titles would be on different platforms — and what was speculated. As Xbox Nerds notes, most felt that the community-driven games were set to be Grounded — which is confirmed now — and Sea of Thieves.

More Smash Jump: Minecraft: Bedrock Edition seems to be getting paid mods, Adrian reviews Promenade, and a new collection of all seven Fallout games is launching later this year.
