Gyarados is ready to show the world what it’s made of in the multiplayer online battle arena game, Pokémon Unite. In other words, a new challenger approaches!

Following the recent Battle Pass 21 and a new ranked season in Season 17, events have been rather stacked for the future of the cross-platform game produced by TiMi Studios.

Battle Pass 21 has arrived in #PokemonUNITE!

There have already been teasers released of what to expect from the Pokémon and its versatile abilities. There is a heavy emphasis on charged attacks within its moveset that highlights the character’s unique playstyle as it hovers over the air in movement, ready to strike foes down.

The Pokémon is set to be a vicious all-rounder, specializing in a variety of powerful Water-type attacks, as well as some Flying ones within its arsenal. All-rounders are a special role given to Pokémon that share a mix of both offensive and defensive capabilities, putting them in a class above the rest from the standard Defender and Speedster roles of the game.

Their Endurance also typically proves to be quite commendable, as it allows them to be able to tank ferocious hits and dish out even stronger ones against anyone that gets in their way.

Gyarados had been available on the Public Test Server (PTS) from December 15 to December 19, which was only done for a limited time. Gearing up for its official release on the main build of the game, the socials for Pokémon Unite’s X account have been keen on sharing clips regarding Gyarados’ unique moves.

Dragon Current has Gyarados dive underwater, where it can't attack or be targeted by opponents.

When it uses it again, it leaps up forcefully and attacks. Stay under long enough, and it'll create a whirlpool or a waterspout where it surfaces! #PokemonUNITE pic.twitter.com/hebK3kBKmc

Waterfall has Gyarados charge three times in a row at awesome speed, dealing damage to opponents that it hits!

The second charge grants a shield if it hits, and the third hit throws the opponent! #PokemonUNITE pic.twitter.com/ERBtK3uguX

Aqua Tail has Gyarados swing its tail continuously for a set amount of time.
