Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment recently released its second free update. It provides more post-game content while making battles more replayable and rewarding for the Hyrule army.
Phantom Mode and Taboo are the newest additions for those who favor more challenge and post-game content. While Taboo becomes the new highest in-game difficulty, Phantom Mode is a new feature to make cleared missions more challenging. Replaying the battles provides a chance for stronger enemies to appear, like Dangerous Species, Miasma Enemies, and even Phantom Ganon. Clearing missions during either activated mode will produce better rewards like High-Purity Zonanium Steel and Increased Carry Limit for Special Food.
There are also new Battle Challenges and Hyrule Challenges being added, like in the previous update. Completing certain missions will reward new utility for the allied army, like the new one-handed Forbidden Sword. The Mysterious Golem can even learn new, unique skills when wielding a one-handed sword, two-handed sword, and spear, like the new Shield Charge skill, which produces more damage during an enemy attack. Allies can even enter the Training Hall to practice Sync Strikes, which are necessary when facing strong enemies like new Dangerous Species of Lizalfos and Chuchus.Â
The 1.0.3 update also provides some bugfixes and functionality improvements, like the material registry bug and extra options for the maxed Zonanium Steel limit. It’s currently the final support for the latest Legend of Zelda title, though Nintendo will provide more details for the next Legend of Zelda installment in the future.
