Ember Lab has announced its breakout hit Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on August 15 this year after speculation of that very change. For the first time ever Xbox players worldwide will be able to experience the cute but challenging game and snag some exclusive goodies.

The game is being released digitally at $39.99 and as a physical Premium Edition for the same price. The premium edition also comes with an assortment of bonus content such as a digital soundtrack, sticker sheet, a unique Kena staff, golden rot skin, and Xbox exclusive pirate-themed Rot hats. Both versions of the game will also include the anniversary DLC which features new gameplay features like Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials and New Game+ mode, as well as cosmetic items for Kena and the rot.

For those out of the loop, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is an action adventure game initially released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC back in 2021. In the game, you play as the titular young spirit guide who is seeking to put an end to the corruption that has claimed the land. It’s a charming tale with a gorgeous art style, challenging gameplay that would make soulslike fans happy, and the cute rot creatures which just steal the show.

The game was Ember Lab’s first video game released, and went on to receive numerous accolades such as Best Debut Indie Game and Best Independent Game at the 2021 Game Awards.
