The Tekken Team has been going through a massive shift in management ever since Katsuhiro Harada’s departure. It only took a bit more time before another well-established developer left Bandai Namco: Kohei Ikeda.
Nakatsu, the former Tekken game director, announced his leave on social media, revealing his thoughts on his career to date. He expressed feeling accomplished for his contributions to the Fight Game Community by developing different fighting games, like Tekken 7 and Soulcalibur. He’s currently continuing to manage his career in game development, similar to Katsuhiro Harada.
His absence will affect how Tekken 8 will develop during its current “Back To Basic” season. What will happen to the latest Tekken entry is unknown, including whether the franchise could continue after the departures of significant Tekken supporters. The developers will continue to update its community about the franchise in the future.
