MultiVersus Season 2 introduces Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice, new mode

The next season of MultiVersus is poised to introduce two new characters to its roster — Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice — and a new game mode. The latter character has a film heading to theaters here soon, so obviously this was all planned out.

Arriving on July 23, we did get a glimpse into Samurai Jack’s fighting style in a recently released gameplay trailer. Meanwhile, we have yet to see anything about Beetlejuice or how he will play.

Outside of the new characters, Ranked Mode will also be heading our way, allowing 1v1 or 2v2 matches count toward a leaderboard and unlock cosmetic rewards. Oh, also for all the hardcore Warner Bros. fans, a new map is heading our way, the iconic Water Tower will soon be available.

MultiVersus was released to beta a while back before shuttering to prep for the full release, which ended up in May. Since its debut, Player First Games have removed Iron Giant for maintenance, faced some backlash, and introduced both Jason Voorhees and Agent Smith.
