Cartoon Network’s Powerpuff Girls are the latest characters to join the MultiVersus lineup this season.
In an official gameplay trailer uploaded onto the MultiVersus YouTube channel, we got a glimpse into the trio’s fighting style as well as their new stage set in the city of Townsville.Â
Naturally, the girls’ original voice actors have all returned to reprise their roles. Player First Games also have their male counterparts, the Rowdy Rough Boys, as an alternate costume. Fans are no doubt excited to see these classic characters join the MultiVersus roster.
We also saw another new character, DC’s Nubia, in the trailer. Not much is known about her fighting style at this time.
After a beta period in 2022, MultiVersus shut down to focus on its full release. The brawler re-released in May. Not long after, Warner Bros. Games bought out developer Player First. Since then, the game has faced its share of controversy. The roster has changed with the removal of Iron Giant and the introduction of new characters like Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice. Season 3 will begin on September 17.
MultiVersus is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
