New 2XKO Fuse already gets banned from large competitive tournament

2XKO Season 2 brought multiple new content and balance changes to refresh the fighting gameplay and support for duos. One of its largest additions is a brand new fuse, which has already grown a controversial discourse about its competitive nature. This argument has led to its availability being banned at ComboBreaker 2026.

Teamfight is a new Fuse that lets the user call out their partner to fight an opponent simultaneously for seven seconds. It functions very similarly to the Cross Combo in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, except it has a consistently longer duration and more direct control over the teammate. It’s designed to greatly reward players who fight as a duo, letting them easily create unblockable setups and touch of death combos when the fuse activates at a small cost of a super bar.

Since ComboBreaker 2026 is coming up shortly on May 22, 2026, the tournament has banned the Teamfight fuse to avoid punishing players who signed up as a single participant rather than a duo. The new season is designed to encourage more players to fight as a duo, so the fuse may be beneficial for later competitive tournaments. Riot Games is currently witnessing how the fuse will affect the competitive game and may provide some tuning improvements, but no major adjustments until the next update.
