New Baldur’s Gate 3 patch hasn’t fixed Xbox players losing saves

Earlier this month, Baldur’s Gate 3 released to Xbox Series X|S, and amid the standard issues of a new console, players also ran into save data issues. This comes even after the latest hotfix, which was supposed to curb the issue.

TheGamer reports users on Reddit and Twitter are expressing that this patch hasn’t fixed the issue. Some speculate it has to do with the Xbox’s quick resume feature, alleging that it’s having trouble placing players back in the same spot from when they shut their console off. Another affected player supposes that a fix for the issue is limiting your save slots, as it seemed to work for them.

As expected, Larian Studios is working on a fix, and we’re sure it’s going as fast as it can, considering fans aren’t pleased with the state the Xbox version is in right now. Fans waited patiently for this version as PlayStation and PC players got all the fun early on. The award-winning Game-Pass-off-the-table title, still functions just fine on other consoles, of course.
