New Cross Progression confirmed for the latest Hitman

in News

January 26, 2026

IO Interactive has announced the new Cross-Progression feature for Hitman World of Assassination. This lets players continue the immersive experience of Agent 47 across multiple gaming platforms, including Steam, consoles, and iOS devices. Every gaming platform will gain access to the new feature on February 3, 2026.

The FAQ for Cross-Progression has confirmed several significant details for the upcoming feature, including the IOI account requirement, the location of Cross-Progression in settings, and the eligible data for the feature. The base game license, DLC license, DLC-based unlocks, leadership scores, and user-created contracts won’t carry over with the new feature. Any saved data created when Cross-Progression is disabled isn’t eligible for data crossover, though any new saved game files made when it is enabled are accessible between multiple platforms.

Mark your calendars 📅, Cross-Progression is coming to HITMAN World of Assassination on February 3rd.

Your progression will now follow you no matter where you choose to play. 💻🎮⌨️🖱️

Enabling Cross-Progression isn’t required to play Hitman World of Assassination. Anyone can switch it on and off with ease through the menu, though turning off the feature will revert every linked account to its previous state. It’s also confirmed that the Hitman 2 to Hitman 3 Carryover feature will close down once the official Cross-Progression option releases.
