New indie Metroidvania Primal Planet revealed

Indie Metroidvania Primal Planet has been announced, with a release window of next year. It features a pixel-art style from a solo developer.

Its Steam page went live, with you taking on the role of the protector of your family and survive a “brutal T-Rex attack.” Primal Planet isn’t just going to keep you in the Stone Age, though, as it alludes to some sci-fi elements buried within the game’s story, with you seemingly able to form a bond and alliances with extraterrestrial beings.

You can expect many of the fixings of a game of its setting, with the ability to craft weaponry and protection, explore a wide range of biomes, each with their own dangers lurking within, and a hint of strategy to keep you on your toes. It will also feature couch co-op, so you and your bud — who takes control of Sino the sinosauropteryx — can get down to faring the sci-fi-laden, primitive plot together .

If it sounds like a game that you can get behind, it’s available to wishlist on Steam. If you need a little more convincing, here’s the reveal trailer.

More Smash Jump: Rainbow Six Siege director believes the game could “last forever,” Monster Hunter Stories to get a Summer-bound remaster, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance is heading to the Switch.
