New modes revealed for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO

Dragon Ball fans are in for a treat from Bandai Namco, as they have released an extensive showcase highlighting some of the different modes in Sparking! ZERO.

In this feature, posted to YouTube by Bandai Namco, we get an in-depth look at two of the game modes: Episode Battle and Custom Battle.

In the main mode, Episode Battle, players can control eight different characters, each with varying numbers of battles. This mode spans the entirety of Dragon Ball Z, from Raditz’s arrival on Earth to the Tournament of Power. The experience depends on which of the eight characters the player chooses. Interestingly, some of the stunning cutscenes will be viewable in first person, allowing players to immerse themselves deeply into the game. Additionally, players can, at times, make choices that influence the story and alter the timeline. Currently, Goku and Vegeta are the only confirmed playable characters among the eight.

Custom Battles provide a unique experience, allowing players to create and experience scenarios with specific settings, win conditions, cutscenes, and characters. Players can enjoy bonus battles created by the developers, and also share and play custom battles made by other players.

In a surprising announcement, it was revealed that local multiplayer will be included, although it will be limited to one set stage. This limitation is due to the challenge of showcasing arena details like destruction in split-screen mode.

With Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO releasing on October 11, and more videos like this are expected to be released soon. Stay tuned for all the updates and information you need to know before the game launches.
