A new points to how likely it is that Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption is heading to PC after over a decade of skipping the market. What’s more, this isn’t just some baseless industry rumormill spinner.
As cited by Tez2 on Twitter, digging into Rockstar’s launcher site files reveals some RDR 1 promo with the brazen text “now playable on PC.” This shift to PC wouldn’t be a huge shock, after all, Rockstar has always held off on releasing its games to PC whether for purposeful reasons or because it needed more time in the PC development oven.

Considering Red Dead Redemption came to the Nintendo Switch as well as the PS4 just last year as part of a port, we can’t say it’s surprising that the New York-based dev is interested in dropping its game to PC. There’s no word as to when it could be announced, but we’re sure if its buried in the launcher files, it won’t be too long of a wait.
