Etrange Overlord is a new RPG by Gemdrops Inc. that was previously announced as a Japanese exclusive release. Broccoli will publish the game for Japan on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on March 27, 2026. It wasn’t until recently that NIS America took the opportunity to publish the game for the West in early 2026 on the same platforms.
The trailer has revealed the game as a “Sushi Lane Musical Action Adventure” where dominating Hell requires both intimidating force and musical rhythm. Etrange is the fallen duke’s daughter who can control and customize not just her army, but also the lane effects on battle stages with Way-To-Go customization. The game is designed with fully voiced interactions, memorable soundtracks, and character designs originating from Super Niche.
The game is also releasing with an exclusive Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. It will include the base game Deluxe version, acrylic stand, sticker sheet, collector’s box, art book, and digipak original soundtrack. More about the game’s Western release will be revealed later.
