An epic dark fantasy set in Valisthea is about to be retold on a new platform. Final Fantasy XVI is coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 17.

Square Enix, the critically acclaimed developer and publisher behind the legendary Final Fantasy series, announced the game’s leap to PC in a trailer on YouTube. Originally released for the PlayStation 5 in 2023, the game is finally arriving on PC after a period of timed exclusivity.

Final Fantasy XVI will be available in two editions for PC: the Standard Edition and the Complete Edition. The Complete Edition includes both of the game’s DLC chapters. Additionally, an Expansion Pass will be available post-launch for players who want to experience the game first before committing to the extra DLC content.

Regardless of which edition players pre-order, there are some exciting bonuses to receive. All pre-orders will come with the Brave Blade Weapon, Cait Sith Charm, and an Orchestrion Roll.

For those interested in trying the game before its release, a new demo is now available on both the Epic Games Store and Steam. The demo includes playable portions of the opening prologue, as well as a special mode that grants access to multiple Eikonic abilities.

Final Fantasy XVI releases to PC on September 17.
