Palworld ended its first year with over 32 million players

Pocketpair’s Pokemon-like Palworld finished its first year on the market, capping it off with over 32 million players playing the title across all systems.

Palworld’s Twitter revealed the news, sharing that across Steam, Xbox, and PS5, after plenty of commitment to the creature collector, and some troublesome ongoing legal stuff pushed forward by Nintendo, the game is certainly still paying off. It’s currently sitting at over 53K players on Steam.

Palworld released to a ton of mixed reception, largely due to the game looking eerily similar to other games within similar genres; most notably Pokemon. In other news, you can find Pocketpair’s plans for the future of Palworld here.

In our early access review, it “far exceeded the expectations.” Also: “The exploration can feel challenging but fair, and the rewarding feeling you get from leveling up your base or catching a Pal with an extremely low catch rate is amazing.”
