PlayStation Plus subscribers, it’s that time of the month once again where we are gifted three free games for us to dive into.
Shared today on the PS Blog the three games are:
Ark: Survival Ascended
Starting off we have the remastered version of the wildly popular Ark: Survival Evolved. Originally released in early access for Windows, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 in 2023, the Unreal Engine 5 remaster features everything featured in the original 2015 game and it’s DLC but with updated graphics, advanced physics and quality of life improvements. The game also features public online multiplayers for up to a whopping 70 players, private-session multiplayer for up to 8 players, and local split screen for 2 players.
Available only on PS5.
Balatro
The most anticipated and surprising game in this lineup in the 2024 smash hit Balatro. Described as a poker-inspired roguelike deck builder the game simply revolves around getting as many points as possible and obtaining the best hand. You’ll start out with a standard 52 deck in order to score points and defeat blinds whilst also purchasing other cards, such as the joker card, can be purchased at a shop that gives you randomized abilities. The game received universal acclaim from critics following its release in 2024, and is a must have for those looking for their next addictive game to dive into.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
Finally the most wildcard choice. Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is a first-person shooter with a classic art style akin to early fps games such as Doom and Quake. The player controls an iconic Warhammer Space Marine called Malum Caedo who battles against enemy Space Marines and daemons by using an assortment of weapons to dispatch your deadly foes. For those looking for more of a retro Warhammer experience may prefer this title over the recently released Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
