Pocketpair “in talks” to bring Palworld to a new system

Japanese developer Pocketpair is “in talks” to bring its smash-hit creature capture sim, Palworld, to other platforms. While it hasn’t been revealed what platforms show interest, we can more or less assume PlayStation has some sort of passing eye on the game while Nintendo is likely not wanting anything to do with it.

CEO Takuro Mizobe spoke with Bloomberg (via VGC), breaking the news. Frankly, we’re surprised this hasn’t happened sooner as we’d expect a mobile version of the game could do well if done right and a PlayStation version is almost a given with PlayStation’s Shuhei Yoshida addressing the demand (via Game Rant) for a PS version.

Considering the game has seen immense success with its uniquely samey yet engaging concept, finding itself with the biggest third-party Game Pass release, fostering over 120K players even to this day, and only charging a modest amount for the early access release.
