Pokemon is no stranger to spin-offs of the IP, but the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series has lacked some proper love, with a remake back in 2020 being the only new content since 2015’s Super Mystery Dungeon. Now, it seems it’s heading back to its roots by releasing Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team to Switch Online.

As revealed on Twitter, the 2006 roguelike will come to Switch Online later this month. Specifically, it’s part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, dropped on the Game Boy Advance in 2006, sees the player transformed into a Pokemon and must go on an adventure to figure out what’s going on. It was earmarked as among the last Game Boy Advance games to come out before Nintendo went full DS mode, which also had its own Mystery Dungeon game with exclusive Pokemon and all.

Red Rescue Team drops on Nintendo Switch Online on August 9.
