PS5 Palworld version no longer appearing at Tokyo Game Show

Developer Pocketpair might have had plans to reveal Palworld for the PlayStation 5 during the Tokyo Game Show, but now it appears that’s no longer the case. To be clear, the studio never confirmed that it would show up.

As spotted by Gematsu on Twitter earlier in the month, Palworld appeared in a list of games part of the event. Since then, the game was dashed from the list, that said, while the idea was thrown around that it was due to the Nintendo lawsuit, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

On ResetEra, Sal Romano, the man behind Gematsu, addressed a thread that noted that the game was removed from the list. He was quick to point out that this wasn’t due to Nintendo’s suit, rather it was done the same day he addressed it.

It’s hard to say the reason behind its omission now, but likely it’s because it was supposed to be a last minute addition as a “surprise” or it’s possible the entire entry was an error to begin with.
