Resident Evil 6 may get new Xbox Series, PS5 re-release

Capcom might be working on a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S release of Resident Evil 6, if a new surfacing rumor is to be believed.

Coming straight from the ESRB (via VGC), a new page surfaced for Resident Evil 6 for the Xbox Series line. Smash Jump can confirm that the page exists at the time of writing, view a screenshot below.

Resident Evil 6 made its debut during the Xbox 360 and PS3 days before getting the porting treatment to the PS4 and Xbox One. Most recently, it found a new home on the Switch back in 2019. This new version, which may come with further graphical upgrades, will likely come packaged with all previous DLC, too. It’s also likely to just be a remaster aligned with previous instances of this game being brought back from the graveyard, so to speak.

At this time there’s only a page for the Xbox Series, but we’re sure a PS5 page will surface at some point.
