OG Guitar Hero developer, RedOctane Games, is getting revived by vets in the rhythm game space. While the founders aren’t involved in tech side, Charles and Kai Huang are on board as advisors.
RedOctane will be spearheaded by Simon Ebejer, who served as the production director for different Guitar Hero titles during his time at Neversoft. It also has other Guitar Hero and rhythm game vets, hopefully making a studio full of people who will provide an experience that fans miss nowadays, as the wider rhythm genre kinda hasn’t been the same since GH left the scene.
RedOctane already has a new game in pre-production, which it says will be revealed later in the year. Oh and for the record, the studio is under Embracer Group’s Freemode.
