Rocksteady Studios co-founders, Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker, have joined forces on a new studio under the name Hundred Star Games and has inked a deal with Xbox on its debut project. It’s billed as a new AAA IP in the single player action adventure variety.
While unconfirmed, eXputer reports insider knowledge of this former Rocksteady-exec backed studio project. Not much is truly known, but it sounds like Xbox Game Studios is financing its debut project. Likely, the game will be exclusive to the Xbox Series X|S in terms of consoles, but it’s also possible to just be a timed exclusive with a PlayStation 5 and potentially Nintendo Switch versions on the table.
At its core, Hundred Star is a company consisting of around 200 people with more, headquartered in London, with than 20 devs hailing from Rocksteady, which is well-known for the Arkham line of Batman games and the much-maligned Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. We gave Suicide Squad a 6/10 in our review. The studio was founded in 2023 after Hill and Walker left the studio mere months before SSKJL’s promised debut.
We hope with a fresh start at Hundred Star, the two make something truly magical with this new IP rattling in their minds. There’s no indicator when the new project will be showcased or announced.
