Cygames has finally unveiled Sandalphon, the newest DLC character for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. The announcement was made at the GBVS Cygames Cup earlier this month via a short reveal trailer.
The gameplay trailer, released on YouTube on January 19, showcases some gameplay along with several cutscenes and animations featuring Sandalphon.
This announcement also came with the news of Character Pass 2. Five characters have been confirmed to be releasing in the pass, with character 2 coming in Spring 2025, character 3 coming in Summer 2025, character 4 coming in Fall 2025, and character 5 coming in early 2026.
This announcement comes after the release of the last DLC character, Vikala, back in October of last year. The Supreme Primarch will be the game’s seventh DLC character and will kickstart Character Pass 2. This also comes after his release in Granblue Fantasy: Relink back in May of last year. Sandalphon will be available on February 26 and can be bought separately or as a part of Character Pass 2.
It has yet to be revealed who will be released in Character Pass 2, but there’s a wide variety of options. We’re excited to see who will be joining Sandalphon in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising later this year!
Sandalphon will arrive in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising on February 26 for Steam and PlayStation 5.
