SEGA reveals Year Two content for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds

SEGA announced multiple updates to the Sonic franchise just in time for its 35th anniversary as part of Summer Games Fest. The fifth wave of Sonic Racing: Crossworlds Year One will feature all four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the hit animated movie Mutant Mayhem, adding a new racetrack set in the New York City subway system as well as a new vehicle modeled after the film’s iconic Pizza Fire Van; the sixth and final wave, meanwhile, will spotlight Aang and Katara of Avatar Legends fame. Year Two content will release throughout 2027 and feature racetracks and vehicles inspired by the Godzilla and Evangelion franchises.

SEGA also announced Sonic Pico Park, a co-operative 2D puzzle platformer developed by indie studio Tecopark, revamping their long-running Pico Park series with the Sonic the Hedgehog license. Up to four players will have to work together as either Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, or Amy Rose.

Sonic Racing: Crossworlds is out now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
