Japanese game studio Bokeh Game Studio has kept its debuting IP, Slitterhead, close to its chest, but it might have a showcase sometime next year. Back in July, fans got a glimpse of pre-alpha gameplay, but that was about all she wrote.
In an interview with 4Gamers (via Gematsu), studio co-founders Keiichiro Toyama and Kazunobu Sato revealed — according to Sato — that on top of its dev team being hard at work on the project, next year will be a very special year for it. The former of the co-founders was a bit more blunt, alleging that 2024 will be when the game will “really begin being shown.”
The horror IP comes from the same minds that worked on iconic games like Silent Hill and SIREN, so we’re sure it’ll send chills down your spine, but if that wasn’t enough, we still have that pre-alpha footage.
“2024 will be a decisive year in which our studio’s first title Slitterhead will really begin being shown. Given that it will significantly influence our future, it will be an important year, so I would like to face it with enthusiasm.”
