Stardew Valley 2 is on the table, but don’t hold your breath

Indie game developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone is not opposed to developing Stardew Valley 2, but we shouldn’t get too excited. He also still doesn’t wanna be known as the Stardew Valley guy, which makes sense as he puts more effort into developing Haunted Chocolatier.

Speaking with TigerBelly, Barone said he may eventually make a sequel to the hit farming sim, but noted it’s “so much easier to just add more stuff to Stardew Valley than to make a whole new game from scratch.”

Of course, considering past comments surrounding his dedication to Stardew Valley, throwing around that he’ll be supporting the game 50 years in the future, it’s fair to say that we’ll probably be in for a long, long, long wait.
