Bandai Namco confirmed the release date for dark fantasy action-RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker during their April 28 ‘Road to Launch’ livestream on YouTube and Twitch. Developer Rebel Wolves, largely comprised of former CD Projekt Red employees and led by The Witcher III: Wild Hunt co-director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, announced the game in early 2025.

Dawnwalker follows Coen, a young peasant, in the aftermath of a vampire raid that leaves his village in ruins and his family imprisoned by the feudal lords of Vale Sangora, a fictional slice of plague-ridden 14th Century Europe. Coen will have thirty days to save his family and defeat Brencis, the leader of the vampire faction, choosing whether to maintain his humanity or embrace his freshly-acquired vampiric powers.

Rebel Wolves have received praise in recent months for their innovative approach to objective and world design. A narrative sandbox structure and seemingly robust choice-consequence gameplay have many fans anticipating a meaningful, eminently replayable RPG when The Blood of Dawnwalker launches later this year.
The Blood of Dawnwalker releases on September 3 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can find more information on the Rebel Wolves website.
