Square Enix is preparing for the special launch of The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, a new HD-2D style game. Unlike other HD-2D games that are usually traditional RPGs, this game plays similarly to a traditional Legend of Zelda, inspiring more tactical approaches and puzzle-solving. Anyone curious to try the new innovative HD-2D game can play its early levels in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Prologue demo.
The trailer presents a sneak peek at Elliot’s lengthy journey, which involves travelling through multiple time periods to meet a wide range of characters. He’s a persistent adventurer who will utilize his equipment and abilities to the fullest, even during the most dire situations.
The Prologue demo does allow any player to carry over their save data to the full game. Anyone can try it out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam before its full launch on June 18, 2026.
