Famed skateboarder Tony Hawk lives a cozy life of notoriety within the gaming community for his branded skating games, and it seems something special is coming up fast.
Speaking to Mythical Kitchen, the skateboarder is supposedly talking to Activision again about the potential future of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. More specifically tied to its upcoming 25-year anniversary later this month. While Hawk couldn’t provide details, he’s sure fans will love it.
Now, it’s worth pointing out that the idea was floated around to make a THPS 3+4 to accommodate the next entries after redoing the previous two. Unfortunately, Activsion’s Vicarious Visions was rejected and absorbed into the broader studio to work on Call of Duty.
Back in 2022, Hawk did say that Activision had tried to find someone to fill that Vicarious hole, even going as far as considering pitches from third-party studios, but none of them stuck. Here’s hoping that secret project behind Activision’s doors is tied to that.
