In 2021, Mob Entertainment graced Steam with the latest in a laundry list of indie mascot horror games, Poppy Playtime. What started as a cheap game with a lacking story and a tryhard-esque mystique has grown into a full-fledged series with more chapters released to flesh out the lore. It’s also going to see its third chapter later this month, too.
Eurogamer reports the PlayStation and Switch versions will release on December 20 and 25 respectively, which seems like an odd choice considering the time of year, but okay. In the end, it’s only the first chapter — A Tight Squeeze — that is coming to consoles, and we’d assume it’ll probably be mid-2024 before the console versions of Chapter 2 release.
The chapter itself sees players take on the role of a former Playtime Co. employee revisiting the long-since abandoned factory with all workers disappeared. Its second chapter was released last year, and the next in its series, dubbed Deep Sleep, is poised to launch later this month.
