Warner Bros. isn’t delisting Adult Swim Games’ games after all

It appears Warner Bros. is no longer planning on delisting games from its Adult Swim Games branch after months of knowledge that it would. Now, though, it seems the massive company has changed its mind.

As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, the developers behind the games that were on the chopping block after the closure of the ASG publishing label will not just keep the game on sale, but the developer will now have ownership of the store page. Chief among the people talking about this is Owen Deery, the same person who publicized on Twitter that his game Small Radios Big Televisions was set to get delisted. In an update since, though, it appears ownership and store listings returned to him.

Update: Game will not be 'retired'. Ownership and store listings will return to me. https://t.co/LU8wSNe5ZL

Back in March, Warner Bros. informed the creators of games published by its Adult Swim Games branch that the games would be delisted and if the dev wanted to republish the game, it would have to start from scratch after some discussions. Some games were adamant it would be safe, like Duck Game, before confirmation on Twitter that it would return to its developer.

Adult Swim didn’t seem to demand ownership of whatever game it published itself, but it did control the Steam pages and initially wasn’t going to transfer ownership of the listings to singular developers, leading to years worth of not just games but also reviews and stuff that could be seen as a portfolio hit being wiped from the internet.
