Establishing early trust in critique is vital for the growth of any small media, and that’s why Smash Jump is transparent about our review score policy.
Review Scale
Smash Jump — like many others in the industry — offers a score, which is simple, to-the-point, and easy to understand. Read our scale below.

Disclosure Policy
We strive to offer a transparent understanding of our operation.
- Any time we get a game code for review by a publisher, developer, or PR group, it will be clearly labeled with a note on the bottom, citing that a review code was provided.
- Any time we have a post that is sponsored, we will have a note labeling it as such.
- Any post that is specifically made as a guest post where we benefit monetarily will be written under a specific author dedicated to such content.
- Any time there are potential conflicts of interest in reporting, and we are incapable of assigning another writer to it, it will be clearly marked.
We believe trust and a strong community are the ways toward success and strive to continue to make Smash Jump a trustworthy source worth supporting. Smash Jump may also be affiliated with groups such as Opencritic or other review aggregators now or in the future.
Aggregator Policy
Smash Jump is affiliated with Google News and an authorized critic on Opencritic and WhaToPlay, and perhaps other aggregators in the future.
Guest Posting Policy
Smash Jump may accept guest posts and be provided with compensation for said article. Contents within the article will remain within the technology/entertainment world, but may step beyond gaming consoles. We will not accept guest posts for clients relating to:
- iGaming/online casinos
- Sites that break standard ToS policies (such as channel sellers, exp levelers)
- Rom sites that provide downloads officially endorsed by site staff
