Adam Sandler’s 1996 comedy, Happy Gilmore, is officially getting a sequel heading to Netflix. The original film was among those that arguably put the actor on the map.

Its teaser trailer, nestled within the streamer’s first time broadcasting NFL games, showed us a brief glimpse at what we can expect. We also see some familiar faces, such as Julie Bowen, who played Virginia Venit, and Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin. Beyond the established, we can also expect Margaret Qualley, Nick Swardson, Travis Kelce, rapper Kid Cudi, and Benny Safdie.

Behind the scenes, Kyle Newacheck helms the project. Original film writer, Tim Herlihy, returns as a co-writer for Happy Gilmore 2. Additionally, the first film’s director, Dennis Dugan, steps into the executive producer chair. Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds, both of which produced the original, return to their roles.

Happy Gilmore 2 has no scheduled release date, but is slated for 2025.
