The lengthy named Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved film has shared its first key visual and cast info. Much of the cast remains the same with some exceptions.

Shared by Anime News Network, the biggest change seen in terms of casting is Ilulu’s voice, who was originally played by Tomomi Mineuchi has been replaced with Shiori Sugiura following the former’s departure from voice acting. The overarching character flow goes like this.

  • Yūki Takada as Elma
  • Minami Takahashi as Lucoa
  • Daisuke Ono as Fafnir
  • Yūichi Nakamura as Makoto Takiya
  • Emiri Katō as Riko Saikawa
  • Kaori Ishihara as Shōta Magatsuchi

Kyoto Animation kicked off the anime adaptation back in 2017, proving to be a hit, with enough staying power to nab a second season, a number of spin-off manga, and now a film.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved releases June 27, 2025.
