New co-op romp, Split Fiction, already to receive movie adaptation

Split Fiction hasn’t even been out for a month and already, rumors have it that a movie adaptation is in the works. Supposedly Story Kitchen, the same studio that is working on a film adaptation for It Takes Two, is also tied to the project.

A Variety report cites sources at the Game Developers Conference. Now, it’s worth pointing out that its film adaptation is pretty still early on, without as much as a writer or director. Apparently, though a fair few top Hollywood players are throwing their hat into the ring to direct and write the film.

It isn’t clear how a Split Fiction movie adaptation would play out; the game already is heavily story-driven, so it would likely just retread the story and perhaps only add a few bits and bobs to help with extending the runtime into a feature-length film.
