Season 8 of Rick and Morty is set to debut in late May, but for those hankering for a look, Adult Swim’s got you covered.
As part of the program’s April Fools Day block, while also ensuring fans know this is not a joke. Fans can expect the antics of alcoholic grandpa Rick and anxious son Morty, on Sundays starting in late May. Meanwhile, the series will find itself on Hulu and Max come September 1.
This was a fair bit of a wait for the next season, considering Season 7 concluded back in late 2023, so the series took a brief hiatus. This news also comes not long after it was revealed Solar Opposites, the other series once-spearheaded by outcasted showrunner, Justin Roiland, was ending its Hulu-centered run with its sixth season debuting sometime later this year.
The official Season 8 description reads:
“Rick and Morty is back for Season Eight. Life has meaning again! Anything is possible! Look out for adventures with Summer, Jerry, Beth, and the other Beth. Maybe Butter Bot will get a new task. Whatever happens, you can’t keep Rick and Morty down for long. People have tried!”
Rick and Morty Season 8 debuts on May 25 at 11 PM on Adult Swim, with Max and Hulu both streaming it on September 1.
