Sakamoto Days reveals new trailer and release date

The most anticipated anime releasing in the first month of 2025 has released a new video highlighting some exciting new information.

According to Anime News Network, the Sakamoto Days’ animated series revealed a main promotional video with some pretty decent animation and exhilarating action scenes. It’s confirmed from the new trailer that the upcoming shonen anime will be released in Japan on January 11 next year. Not only that, but Sakamoto Days will also be a split-cour series with the second part releasing in July 2025.

Other additional information includes the main opening theme song, “Hashire Sakamoto” (Run, Sakamoto), sung by famous Japanese musician, Vaundy. He previously sang for the ending theme song for the second season of Spy x Family, so anime fans will be in for another amazing output from the pop singer.

It’s worth mentioning that Sakamoto Days’ premiere date is only confirmed for television channels in Japan as of now. With this series being adapted from one of the most current popular shonen manga, it’s likely that Netflix will release its first episode very soon after the television premiere or hopefully on the same day.
