The first official peek for new Legend of Zelda movie

Nintendo has been developing its IP through different entertainment media, including films. Nintendo has been working closely with Sony to create The Legend of Zelda live-action movie, which is currently planned to release on May 7, 2027.

Nintendo has shown several photos relating to its early filming. The pictures include Link and Zelda surveying the grassy lands of Hyrule. It’s not confirmed which Legend of Zelda iteration the film is adapting, though Zelda is wearing clothing similar to the princess in Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. Unlike the latest iteration of Zelda, the movie Zelda is wielding a regular bow and arrow. Link is wearing his seemingly green traditional hero clothes, unlike the blue champion tunic worn in The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. More about the film will be revealed later through Nintendo’s social media, including Nintendo Today.
