While Borderlands 4 is not going to cost $80 like many feared, leading to a controversial remark from CEO Randy Pitchford, who has since apologized. it will take up a sizable chunk of storage.
Coming directly from its Steam page, BL4 will take up that amount of storage while also recommending players have an RTX 3080. Of course, you don’t have to, with its minimum specs suggesting an RTX 2070, which have been on the market since 2018, thus it’s a bit on the cheaper side and more accessible side.
The specs are a huge leap from previous entries, which while it’s not too surprising, we still don’t know what resolution or framerates the game will be targeting. Luckily, there is the Fan Fest event slated for June 21, so we’ll probably hear more about it then, but for right now, pre-orders just opened up.
Borderlands 4 launches on September 12 to the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A Switch 2 version will come at a later date.
