Not to be confused with the middlingly received film adaptation, Ubisoft has partnered up with Netflix to bring Assassin’s Creed to the streaming service with a brand-new live action series. Said series appears to star Euphoria’s Toby Wallace.
Confirmed by Deadline, the show, which was part of a 2020 deal between Ubi and Netflix, is set to seemingly start filming next year. Based on the report, the show will be both shot and set in Italy.
Beyond Wallace taking center stage, we don’t know who else will be part of the cast. Behind-the-scenes, though, Roberto Patino and David Wiener are its showrunners alongside executive producers with Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, Genevieve Jones, and Matt OโToole.
Based solely on the potential 2026 filming, we’re probably looking at silence until a solid year or two, with maybe some casting news boiling to the surface. Overall, things seem to be going well for the IP itself, with Ubisoft seeing Assassin’s Creed Shadows‘ strong performance as “overperforming.”
