What to expect from the new content of Resident Evil Requiem

Resident Evil Requiem is on the horizon for its release on modern gaming platforms. The game will also be available through GeForce Now, letting users play the game with ideal quality and performance through eligible devices. Capcom is preparing the game’s hype by hosting a special showcase to reveal the main gameplay and content for the latest Resident Evil.

The showcase revealed the two coinciding perspectives for the whole adventure: Leon and Grace. Both protagonists are solving a mystery behind the same murder case in an abandoned hospital in the Midwest. How they will solve the investigation is very different.

Leon Kennedy is a veteran agent who will handle gruesome encounters in an action-packed style. Crowd control and contextual action are essential for his survival, which requires shooting limbs, disarming hostile weaponry, and physical combat. He can even use his special hatchet to parry attacks, though it requires sharpening its edge for better usage.

Grace isn’t much of a fighter, making her approach rely on stealth and cautious strategy. Limited resources force her to stray away from danger rather than facing it head-on. Her best tools to face any hostilities are crafting and Requiem, the largest caliber assault revolver.

The game will also enhance the immersion for the different protagonists through its available options. It will be the first Resident Evil game for players to change camera perspectives between first-person and third-person at any time during gameplay. Modern settings will also be available at launch, like aim assist and standard modern difficulty. Veteran Resident Evil fans can enjoy the game’s standard classic difficulty, which will require ink ribbons to save progress during Grace’s adventure.

Resident Evil Requiem isn’t launching alone without new merchandise and content. Capcom has confirmed several new releases for the game’s official launch, like the Resident Evil Generations Pack, Resident Evil designed Nintendo Switch 2 pro controller, and Resident Evil Nintendo amiibo. The crafted Hamilton watches will also be available, though they’re limited to 2000 pieces each for the Leon preferred Khaki Field Auto Chrono and Grace preferred Pan Europ Automatic designs.

Resident Evil Requiem launches on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27, 2026.
