Debate still rises about why Black Myth: Wukong isn’t on Xbox

Despite a solid reasoning, that being the known “memory leak” issue, some assert that Sony paid Black Myth: Wukong developer Game Science to keep it off of the competing platform.

Sources linked to Forbes and IGN have claimed Game Science was paid by Sony in a shadow exclusivity deal. Of course, as none of this has been addressed by either party, with the closest statement being from Microsoft. In its statement (via Windows Central), it’s noted that the American company is working to bring it to its platform.

Regardless of your stance, it’s hard to put blind faith in this instance. The developer has been a bit more open about the game’s struggles in development. That’s not to say it’s impossible, but such a deal wouldn’t just fly under the radar so easily.

As it stands, Black Myth: Wukong is a smash hit, frequently seeing over a million players on Steam alone. It’s also sold over 10 million copies.
