Helldivers 2 wins Best Multiplayer at The Smash Jump Awards

Arrowhead Game Studio’s live service PvE shooter, Helldivers 2, takes home the Best Multiplayer award at this year’s The Smash Jump Awards.

During the event, it beat out Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Tekken 8, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and Palworld. All this success is in spite of the whole shake up that led to a lot players almost losing their ability to play, but with the power of its community, the forced PSN requirement was dashed.

In our review, we said: “Helldivers 2 is the best game of 2024 so far, only being held back by the fact that the small team at Arrowhead Studios was not expecting so many players to flood the servers at launch. Since then, the significant issues have been fixed, and it is clear that Arrowhead is committed to continuing to fix technical problems as well as adding new content like mechs.”
