Hollow Knight: Silksong finally gets a release date

At long last, Team Cherry has finally crossed the major milestone and revealed that the sequel to its immensely popular Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong, has a release date, and it’s right around the corner.

Team Cherry dropped an official release trailer, sharing that Silksong will be available on September 4, 2025 after six years following its official reveal and tons of silence. Yeah, Team Cherry liked to keep quiet about the progress, which understandably, didn’t sit well with fans who wanted to know how things were going.

Of course that patience is rewarded, a demo — albeit a polished up version of the 2019 demo — was available at both the Xbox and Nintendo booths on the showroom floor, and based on previews, it sounds like it’ll be a solid followup.

Hollow Knight: Silksong releases on September 4, 2025 to the PC, Xbox Series X|S (and Game Pass), Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
