Atlus recently appeared during the Nintendo Direct to announce Metaphor Refantazio coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. It’s the company’s award-winning RPG that will bring its royal tournament and unique turn-based action battle system to the Nintendo platform on November 12, 2026.
Katsura Hashino, Metaphor Refantazio Game Director, presented a message to the public regarding the game’s release. He expressed astonishment and excitement over the new IP flourishing within the growing community. It was previously recorded to sell 2 million units worldwide on July 15, 2025, which is an accomplishment for a brand-new project. With the game reaching another gaming platform, the developers feel more pleased to see more newcomers experiencing the unique narrative and gameplay.
Atlus is also celebrating the announcement by releasing the 1st chapter of the official Metaphor manga. It’s currently available for any fan to read for free regarding the beginnings of Will and Callica. Hopefully, this success will allow the developers more room to make new immersive projects for everyone to enjoy across multiple gaming platforms.
