Marvel’s Wolverine’s story lead departs Sony to work at CDPR

Mary Kenney, the story lead behind the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine, has departed from Insomniac Games to work at CD Projekt Red — most likely — on Project Orion, better known as Cyberpunk 2. This means she rejoins art director Aaron Habibipour who left Insomniac just three months ago.

Kenney revealed on LinkedIn (via PlayStation LifeStyle) of the job change. She co-headed the story department for Wolverine, though, she wasn’t a one-trick-pony in her five-year stint at Insomniac. Prior to getting to work on the upcoming hero game, she also worked on Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.

It’s worth pointing out that we don’t totally know what she’s working on, but we’re pretty sure she’s either working on Cyberpunk 2 or the next entry to The Witcher series, both of which are amping up development. The former especially as no more staff is assigned to Cyberpunk 2077.

Featuring Kenney as a writer might aid in the broader goal of making life paths more viable, but we’ll have to wait and see.
