Pokémon Go competitor gets disqualified over a questionable violation

Over 170 competitors attended the Pokémon Go tournament during the 2026 Pokémon Orlando Regional Championship. Within the packed competition was Firestar73, who made an impressive run through the loser’s bracket before resetting the Grand Finals. He won the tournament’s final set, though a violation was somehow called about his reaction.

One of the judges in the Pokémon Go tournament declared his tournament celebration “unsportsmanlike,” resulting in an immediate disqualification. His winning trophy was somehow flipped to his opponent’s favor, NTC.

This choice has sparked the community from Firestar73’s pop-off in the tournament being viewed as more mild than overly dramatic by the media. He even shook his opponent’s hand to respect the satisfying match rather than yelling and throwing a chair. The judge’s decision seems to be final at the moment, though Firestar73 is bringing his story perspective out to the public to raise enough awareness to change the judge’s strict statement.
